Calling All Bartenders

Our friends at The Perfect Purée of Napa Valley create frozen fruit purees, concentrates and zests that are many a chef's secret weapon. The natural flavors are frozen at the peak of freshness, containing no artificial additives, preservatives or sweeteners, making them great bases for sauces, ice creams and cocktails. They recently teamed up with Chilled Magazine to kick-off to the “Flavor Your Way” cocktail contest for bartenders across the U.S. The enter-to-win contest offers one lucky winner a $5,000 cash prize plus national exposure in Chilled Magazine and The Perfect Purée of Napa Valley’s website.

The online contest is open to all bar industry professionals and there is no purchase necessary to enter. Simply order complimentary samples of The Perfect Purée at, mix up a masterpiece, and submit a recipe and photo by midnight September 14, 2014. To sign up directly, you can go to

The Perfect Purée of Napa Valley will select one winner with a panel of judges. Contestants will be judged on four criteria:

1. Ease of execution

2. Creativity of cocktail name and ingredients

3. Aesthetics and presentation

4. Flavor

All recipes must use one of The Perfect Purée flavors. Entries will be reviewed upon submission and narrowed down to 20 semi-finalists on September 15, followed by five final contestants chosen on October 1. Final judging will occur by October 15 when a well-known mixologist will re-create the five finalists’ cocktails for the judging panel.
