Bocuse d’Or 2017 Team USA Announced

Over the course of four-and-a-half hours yesterday at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas, four U.S. chefs competed for the chance to represent the U.S, in the 2017 Bocuse d’Or. The competitors consisted of Angus McIntosh, sous chef at The Broadmoor, CO; Gerald Ford, executive sous chef at Westchester Country Club, NY; Mathew Peters, executive sous chef at Per Se in New York City; and Brian Lockwood, chef de cuisine, The NoMad, NY. Peters and his commis Harrison Turone won the gold medal and will be heading to Lyon in 2017, while Lockwood and his commis John Sullivan took the silver medal.

Peters and Turone will now head into a year of intense training for the final event, which will be held January 24-25, 2017.
