The theme to MAD3 was guts and chef Barbara Lynch gave the topic a personal spin, telling the tale of how she went from being a high-school dropout from the housing projects of South Boston to being the owner/anchor of a restaurant group with eight of the most acclaimed restaurants in her home city. During her talk, she explained how, on her own, she developed a sense of guts anchored by humanity, humor, and vision. Pretty inspiring — and entertaining — stuff.
