Louisville chef Edward Lee has a new cookbook, Smoke and Pickles, coming out this Spring in which he aims to "tell my story on a plate." For the Brooklyn born son of Korean immigrants who cooks in the South, that story "begins with a bowl of rice and finds it's way to a bottle of bourbon", with lots of farmers, fermenting and fried chicken in between.
