Really, No Blood Sausage?

If ever there was a place for dishes like blood pudding, boudin noir, or blood soup in a cookbook you would think it would be True Blood: Eats, Drinks, and Bites from Bon Temps, the official cookbook from HBO's blockbuster vampiric drama. But a bloody mary is about as sanguine as things get here. Instead the recipes take their cues from the bayou setting of the show and Southern roots of creator Alan Ball, with biscuits and gravy, fried chicken, red beans and rice, gumbo, chili and jambalaya making appearances.
