Our Sellers
CookingDistrict.com is proud to offer the same culinary products on our site that we use in the industry every day. From our restaurants, to our classrooms, to our consulting projects -we've tested everything we sell and are pleased to offer them to you at the absolute lowest prices on the web.

Each of our sellers uses a specific shipper, either UPS or FedEx. We ship to all 50 states and offer three options, GROUND, 2-DAY, 1-DAY. Please note that FedEx and UPS do not ship to P.O. boxes and we do not ship directly to APO/FPO addresses.

Shipments containing logos or line embroidery will require an additional 10-12 business days for processing before it ships.

Payment Methods
We accept all major credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. You can also redeem and use your Cooking District Gift Card balance towards an order.

Canceling an Order
If there is a discrepancy with a "Pending" order, you may cancel it at anytime by opening the order and clicking the "Cancel" button. Orders cannot be cancelled by the customer once the status has been changed to "Being Processed" or "Shipped."

Sales & Refund Policy
You may return new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund*. Items should be returned in their original product packaging to the return address on your packing slip. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error. You should expect to receive your refund within two weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days). We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.

* Embroidered items cannot be returned unless there was an error by the manufacturer.

Incorrect or Damaged Items
Like unreceived orders, wrong or damaged orders should be brought to the seller's attention. Contact the seller for assistance. If a seller fails to deliver, you may be eligible for reimbursement and should contact support@cookingdistrict.com.

Unreceived Orders
Sellers are responsible for communicating with you and for correcting any problems that might arise with lost shipments, damaged items, or other mishaps. If a seller fails to deliver, you may be eligible for full reimbursement and should contact support@cookingdistrict.com.

CookingDistrict.com wants every order to go as smoothly as possible, but in rare cases, disputes will occur. Buyers should first contact the seller with questions about their order. If you ever have questions before making a purchase, just click on the seller's contact info using the information above.

Out-of-Stock Orders
Sellers work hard to ensure that stock is on hand for delivery, but now and then the availability of a listed item will change by the time an order is placed. If a seller is unable to deliver, they should refund you promptly so that you can place a new order. Please know that while an occasional stock-out is bound to happen, we do require sellers to keep these to a minimum.

For that professional touch, embroidered apparel gives you a personalized, custom-tailored look. Whether the monogram is your establishment’s name or your own, it’s a fitting complement to your apparel and operation. Once your logo has been digitized, you'll be able to apply to all your Cooking District/Mercer Culinary orders going forward, quickly and easily.

Text Colors
We have 345 colors to choose from. You can preview the colors when you are reviewing items in the store. You can specify colors using either the Pantone (PMS), Hex or RGB systems.

Students and educational institutions may qualify for discounted prices with Mercer Cutlery. Please contact them directly using the contact information above for further details.

Bounced Emails
Sellers are required to have valid e-mail addresses on file in their Seller Account. If your e-mail to a seller bounces, please report this to support@cookingdistrict.com. You will not receive a reply to your report, but our Investigations team will follow up with the seller. If you cannot reach the seller, please contact support@cookingdistrict.com for help in resolving your order concerns.

Sales Tax
Sales tax will be calculated only for orders being shipped to addresses within New York State. Food items are exempt from the state and local sales taxes. Clothing items under $110 per item are exempt from the New York State 4% sales tax, but specific local county and city sales tax rates may still apply. These custom state and local rates are automatically applied during the checkout process. You can get an quick sales tax estimate in the shopping cart, but this does not factor in the tax on shipping (if applicable).
