Caramelized Onions

Step 1
4 tbsp • Salted butter
4 • Yellow onions • peeled, stemmed, sliced
1/2 tsp • Salt
1/2 tsp • White pepper • freshly ground
Heat the butter in a large saute pan over medium heat until melted. Add the onions, salt and pepper and toss to coat well. Let cook, stirring occasionally, until the onions are lightly caramelized, 15 to 20 minutes. Remove from the heat and set aside until ready to use.
