Marinovannye Griby: Pickled Mushrooms Recipe

These traditional Russian pickled mushrooms are part of TV host and Chef Andrew Zimmern's non-traditional Super Bowl menu.

Step 1
20 oz • Cider vinegar
1 cup • Water
1 tbsp • Black peppercorns
6 • Cloves
2 • Bay leaves
4 • Garlic cloves
4 • Dill sprigs
4 • Thyme sprigs
1 tbsp • Salt
Red chili flakes to taste
Combine all the ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a boil.

2 lb • Cremini mushrooms • trimmed and wiped clean w
Add the mushrooms to the saucepan and reduce heat to a simmer. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Let cool. Discard the cloves and bay.

Place in a tight fitting container for a few days in the refrigerator and serve. Keeps up to 2 weeks.
