Fresh Fruit Trifle

This is a very simple, no bake recipe that makes a beautiful presentation. You can customize with any type of fruit, berries and cake that you prefer.

Step 1
1 each • Angel Food Cake (Cooking District recipe or store bought)
3 cup • Heavy whipping cream
1/4 cup • Confectioner's sugar
Begin to beat the heavy cream slowly and increase speed. When it starts to thicken, slowly add confectioner's sugar and vanilla extract

Beat until stiff peaks form. Do not over beat otherwise it will turn into butter.
Step 2
4 cup • Strawberries • hulled & sliced
1/4 cup • Granulated sugar
3 each • Bananas • peeled & sliced
1 each • Juice of 1 large lemon
16 oz • Blueberries
3 each • Kiwi • peeled & sliced
Mix strawberries and granulated sugar in a bowl and macerate for about 20 minutes. Toss bananas in lemon juice to keep from browning.

It's your choice to either slice angel food cake into 2 or 3 layers or cut into 1 inch cubes.

Place a small amount of fruit in the bottom of a trifle bow. Place one layer of angel food cake or cubes on top of that. Top with a layer of fruit. Spread a layer of whipped cream on top of the fruit.

Repeat the steps until you reach the top of the dish.

Top it with a layer of whipped cream and fruit in any design that you like.
