|1/2 tsp • Cayenne pepper|
|1 cup • Stout|
|1 tbsp • Worcestershire sauce|
|1 lb • Cheddar cheese • grated|
|6 slice • Crusty bread • toasted|
Melt butter in a saucepan over low medium heat and stir in flour. Continue stirring and allow to cook for about 5 minutes, until the flour has lightly browned and become fragrant.
Stir in the mustard powder, black pepper, and cayenne, followed by the stout and Worcestershire sauce.
Turn the heat down to low and begin adding the cheese, a little at a time, stirring until smooth.
Spread the melted cheese mixture on top of the toast and place under the broiler until the top is browned and bubbly.
