Plum Baklava

Step 1
1 pkg • Phyllo dough
1 lb • Sweet Butter
2 1/2 cup • Walnuts • chopped
1 cup • Almonds • chopped
4 tbsp • Sugar
2 tbsp • Cinnamon
3/4 cup • Bread crumbs
6 each • Plums • sliced thin
Mix together walnuts, almonds, sugar, cinnamon and bread crumbs.
Step 2
Set aside 6 sheets of phyllo for top. In a 9x13 pan, place 6 sheets of phyllo on bottom. Brush each sheet with butter, sprinkle with nuts, then add 2 layers of phyllo.
Step 3
Layer with plums and nuts. Continue this process until finished with the 6 sheets of phyllo.
Step 4
Cut into shapes before baking. Bake at 350F for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
Step 5
3 cup • Sugar
3 cup • Water
• Orange Peel
1 each • Cinnamon stick
Mix all ingredients. Bring to boil, then simmer for 20 minutes. Pour over warm baklava.

Do not cover baklava.
