This week's Friday Happy Hour
cocktail is part celebration and part reinvention. Strip House Spicy Sangrķa from Strip House Westminster Hotel in Livingston, NJ repurposes some of the cranberries that you have left over from yesterday's big Thanksgiving Day feast to create a refreshing drink.
· bottle Red Zinfandel or Merlot
· 1/2 cup ruby port wine
· 1/2 cup triple sec
· 1/2 cup cranberry juice
· cups cooked cranberries
· Granny Smith apples, large dice
· 1/2 cup Simple Syrup
· cinnamon sticks
Add ingredients to container and chill for 4 to 8 hours. Add 1/2 cup of fresh diced apples and 1/2 cup fresh cranberries before serving. Makes 2 1/2 quarts.
