Many of us in the restaurant industry dislike Yelp! for obvious reasons-the majority of posters really don't know what they're talking about. Whether awarding a location with a rave review or punishing them with an online textual assault, most reviews are fueled by an irrational emotion instead of an objective judgement. Here is the worst example I've come across yet, a 1-Star review for a restaurant that hasn't even opened:
"My wife and I were downtown and had recently read a review of Graham Elliot Bowles new endever, a sandwich shop. The Chicago magazine made it seem like an enteresting spot and Chef Bowles is a happening food personality, the only problem is the joint isn't open yet. It was a pleasant walk ruined..."
