Steakhouse Finds Creative Solution for Construction Problem

NYC's steakhouse Maloney and Porcelli was facing months of construction right outside their front door as the Long Island Railroad Extension is being built. "As fun as it is to have construction out in front, we want it gone as soon as it’s possible," a spokeswoman for the restaurant told the Wall Street Journal.

So what can a restaurant do to speed up construction they've got no control over? Offer the workers free beer & steaks if they meet their construction deadlines. If the workers are finished by the projected date this November, they're getting a free steak dinner in the private upstairs dining room of the restaurant.

The reports say it's working too-construction has sped up "measurably."
