Dry Rubbed Tri-tip

Step 1
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp onion powder
2 tsp chili powder
2 tsp salt kosher
Combine all dry spices.
Step 2
12 oz tri-tip beef
4 tbsp seasoning mixture
Trim tri tip into 3- 4 oz loins or 2-6 oz loins, save trim for tri-tip sausage.Coat the loins in the spice mixture and let rest at room temperature until ready to cook.
Step 3
1 oz olive oil blend 80/20
Heat saute pan, add oil and allow to heat then add tri-tip loin.Sear to medium rare then let rest before slicing.
