American Lamb Shepherd's Pie

Step 1
1 lb american lamb • ground
1/2 lb pork • ground
2 whole eggs
1 tsp pate spice
2 tsp dijon-style mustard
2 tsp kosher salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp fresh parsley • chopped
2 tbsp onions • minced
1 cup pumpernickel bread • diced
1/2 cup heavy cream
Combine all ingredients except the potatoes and sautéed vegetables and mix well. Form to desired shape and place into a casserole and bake at 375° F until it reaches an internal temperature of 125° F.
Step 2
2 cup mixed vegetables • sauteed
2 cup whipped potatoes
Remove from the oven and add the sautéed vegetables over the meat. Cover the vegetables with the potatoes and return to the oven. Continue to until you have reached an internal temperature of 155° F and the potatoes are golden brown on top.
