Step 1
4 cup flour • sift
3 cup sugar
3 cup brown sugar
4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
Mix all to blend.
Step 2
1 lb butter • melted
4 each eggs
2 cup heavy cream
Add liquid to dry, mix only to incorporate, do not over mix. This is a traditional batter to pour over sugared fruit which is then baked in a cast iron skillet.
