|4 slice rustic bread|
|3 oz blue cheese • crumbled|
|1 pear • cored and sliced|
|1/4 cup walnut pieces • toasted|
|2 tbsp unsalted butter • softened|
Spread half of the blue cheese over one side of 2 slices of bread.
Layer the pear slices over the blue cheese. Sprinkle the walnut pieces over the pears, and then cover with the remaining blue cheese.
Top with remaining bread slices. Spread the tops and bottoms of the sandwiches with 1 tbsp softened butter.
Melt remaining 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium heat. When hot, add the sandwiches; cook, turning once, until golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 2 minutes per side.
