|1 lb cherries • pitted|
|4 tbsp butter • melted|
|3/4 cup milk|
|3/4 cup 2 tbsp all-purpose flour|
|1/2 cup sugar|
| confectioners’ sugar (10x) • for dusting|
Heat oven to 400 degrees F.
Place the cherries in the bottom of the cake tin or tart pan.
In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and salt.
When the dry ingredients are well combined, add the milk and eggs (one at a time), whisking gently and continually. Add the butter and mix until batter is smooth.
Pour batter on top of cherries.
Bake for 15 minutes, then lower heat 350 F and cook for another 30 minutes. Let cool slightly, then dust with Confectioners’ sugar.
